A cold-core low pressure system was approaching, expected to enhance afternoon convection over Taiwan starting Sunday. The maximum heat is predicted for Friday and Saturday, with temperatures in some areas exceeding 37 degrees Celsius. Thunderstorms and heavy rain are also expected in various regions, and relief from the scorching heat is anticipated with slightly cooler temperatures following the weakening of high pressure on Sunday.
