Following the Dragon Boat Festival, the weather has been getting hotter. The Central Weather Bureau issued high-temperature alerts (orange) for cities including Hualien and Taipei, where temperatures could exceed 36°C during the daytime on June 14. Hualien County has an orange warning, while Taipei City, New Taipei City, and Taitung County have yellow warnings. Due to the impact of southwest wind descendence, there is a high probability of heatwaves occurring in the Taitung County area, with the chance of continuous temperatures reaching 36°C. Taipei City, New Taipei City, and Taitung County are under yellow warnings. Additionally, the Central Weather Bureau issued a heavy rain special report for Matsu around 5:35 p.m. today, extending until tonight, due to vigorous convective cloud development, with a possibility of localized heavy rain in the Matsu area and a warning for lightning and strong gusts.
