Central Weather Bureau issued a special heavy rain warning for 14 counties and cities including Keelung City, Taipei City, and New Taipei City. Afternoon thunderstorms are expected to hit these areas from the afternoon to the evening of June 25, prompting caution from the public. Intense short-duration heavy rainfall is likely, with the possibility of localized heavy rain in northern areas and mountainous regions. Immediate alerts for heavy thunderstorms were also issued for New Taipei City and Taoyuan City, warning residents to beware of heavy rainfall, lightning, strong gusts, and rising river levels.
