Heavy Rain and Thunderstorms in Southern Taiwan for 5 Days Starting Tomorrow! One Chart Analyzes Rainfall Trends and Peak Hours

Reported 11 months ago

The Central Weather Bureau stated that from tomorrow (12th) to Sunday (16th), southwestern winds will continue to affect the southern regions of Miaoli and southward, bringing high chances of rain. The article highlights that there will be intermittent short showers or thunderstorms in areas south of Miaoli due to the southwestern winds, as well as in Hsinchu and Taitung. The temperatures will reach around 32 to 33 degrees in most areas, with some reaching up to 35 to 36 degrees. From Thursday to Saturday (13th to 15th), the southwestern winds will be stronger, increasing the likelihood of rain in the southern regions. Despite intermittent rainfall gaps, sudden heavy rain, thunderstorms, and strong gusts are expected if influenced by convective cloud systems. Next Monday and Tuesday (17th, 18th), the Pacific high pressure system is expected to strengthen, reducing moisture levels and leading to occasional showers in central and southern regions due to sea-land wind convergence, with rains diminishing compared to the previous days.
