In Guishan District, Taiwan, a heavy downpour caused a landslide on the 17.3-kilometer section of Wanshou Road, leading to trees collapsing and hitting two passing motorcyclists. Upon receiving the report, the Guishan Police immediately dispatched officers led by Deputy Director Guo Wenxiong of the Huilong Police Station to the scene for a swift rescue operation. The injured motorcyclists, one male named Xu and one female named Lai, only suffered minor abrasions and were taken to the hospital for further examination, fortunately without life-threatening injuries. The police also coordinated with the highway authority to clear the debris, ensuring traffic flow after about an hour and a half of efforts. The Guishan Police remind drivers to be cautious when traveling on mountain roads during rainy days to ensure safety.
