Heavy Rain Causes Turbidity in Hualien's Source Water, Water Supply Reduced for 20,000 Households

Reported 12 months ago

Recent heavy rain in Hualien has led to increased turbidity in the source water of the Sipadan River and sediment accumulation at the intake, resulting in reduced water supply for around 20,000 households in northern Hualien. Temporary water supply stations have been set up, and normal water supply is expected to be restored by 6 a.m. tomorrow if the weather stabilizes. People can check for water cut-off announcements on the Taiwan Water Corporation website.
