A heavy thunderstorm hit the mountainous area of Taoyuan on June 26th, causing power outages for over 22,421 households in Daxi and Fuxing areas. Taiwan Power Company (Taipower) dispatched repair personnel immediately, with all power restored by 16:27. Additionally, there were reports of power outages in Kansai, Hsinchu, affecting 113 households. The outage was due to a thunderstorm damaging the power lines, impacting both areas. Taoyuan Taipower branch reported the incident and has since worked to restore power to the affected residents.
