After a heavy thunderstorm in the afternoon, reports emerged of an explosion in a power box in Taipei's Beitou District. Following the thunderstorm warning issued by the Central Weather Bureau for Taipei and New Taipei City, some areas experienced flooding with Beitou District facing a power outage due to the explosion. Local residents reported hearing two explosions before the power outage occurred.
