The Central Weather Bureau has issued a heavy rainfall warning, indicating that convective cloud systems are developing rapidly, leading to short periods of heavy rain. Today, there is a chance of localized heavy rain or torrential rain in the mountainous areas of Chiayi County, with the possibility of localized heavy rain in the mountainous areas of New Taipei, Taichung, Kaohsiung, Yunlin, Chiayi, Nantou, and Tainan. Residents are advised to be cautious of lightning, strong gusts, landslides, and falling rocks. Chiayi County is under a torrential rain warning, while New Taipei City, Taoyuan City, Hsinchu County, Miaoli County, Taichung City, Nantou County, Yunlin County, Chiayi City, Tainan City, and Kaohsiung City are under heavy rain warnings.
