Hertz is selling off its Tesla fleet at a discounted price due to a drop in demand for electric vehicles, with a significant decrease in the price of used EVs and Teslas. This move comes after Hertz faced high expenses related to collision and damage primarily with EVs, resulting in a $195 million write-down in the first quarter. The company is rushing to offload 30,000 EVs and has been selling Teslas at a nationwide average price of approximately $25,000 since January.
