Modern lifestyles with frequent dining out and low physical activity can lead to rapid muscle loss and increased body fat, resulting in a condition known as 'Muscle-Scarce Obesity'. Those at higher risk include the elderly and middle-aged individuals who dine out often. Nutritionist Wang Ying-suan from Taipei Hospital warns that individuals in these groups need to pay attention to their health. She recommends focusing on balanced diet, adequate protein intake, calcium and vitamin D supplementation, and combining aerobic and resistance exercises to prevent and improve 'Muscle-Scarce Obesity'.
