During the 2024 Gaokao held in China in early June, a student who was chauffeured by a top-class Maybach throughout the exam gained popularity and was dubbed the 'Maybach Young Master,' sparking discussions among netizens. However, when the exam scores were recently released, Chinese netizens were surprised to find out that the student, Zhu Yetian, scored 700 points and came from an exceptional family background with relatives who are national-level inheritors of intangible cultural heritage. Zhu explained his dedication to studying and taking the exam despite his family's wealth, aiming to attend Peking University and pursue a career in scientific research to contribute to the family's legacy, prompting many netizens to apologize and change their perceptions of him as a 'rich second generation.'
