A high school student surnamed Lü, who was the first victim in the random stabbing incident on Taichung MRT in May, was interviewed about his gratitude towards those who helped him and the reason he didn't run during the attack. Having received a lot of blood transfusions during emergency treatment and replaced one-third of his blood, Lü's family decided to hold a blood donation event on July 26 to thank the public for their support. Lü, who wishes to return to school during summer tutoring, was stabbed three times and suffered severe injuries, including fractures, but has since recovered significantly. His father also shared their plans to expand blood donation activities and invited people to participate in giving back to the community.
