A conflict erupted in a Kaohsiung MRT carriage, where a 23-year-old man was allegedly scolded and physically confronted by elderly men for not giving up his priority seat. While initially stated by metro police that the man was emotionally unstable without displaying aggressive behavior, a passenger posted a video online showing the man being physically assaulted by the elders. Subsequently, the police arrested the two men involved in the assault and transferred them to the prosecutor's office for investigation. The incident was initially reported as unprovoked aggression by the 23-year-old man on the train, causing panic among passengers. However, a video shared on social media revealed a different narrative, leading to the arrest of the men who physically confronted the young man.
