According to SET News, on June 12, 2024, at 5:25 AM, reporter Yang Yanlin from Taipei reported that there was an abnormality in the switch at the Taipei West Station of the High-Speed Rail, affecting train operations. The Taiwan High-Speed Rail Company announced that due to a signal abnormality in the switch at the Taipei Station at 15:45 on the same day, train operations were affected and although the situation has been resolved and operations are gradually returning to normal, some trains are still delayed. The incident caused delays in 12 train services, and for passengers whose final station arrival was delayed over 30 minutes but less than 60 minutes, 50% of the actual ticket price will be refunded; they can apply for a refund at the station within one year from the incident date, with the company actively assisting passengers in the process.
