Taiwan has entered summer climate with the influence of Pacific high pressure, causing temperatures to rise across the region. Kaohsiung's Meinong recorded the hottest temperature at 37.5 degrees Celsius, with Yunlin, Pingtung, and other areas also exceeding 37 degrees. Thunderstorms are expected in the afternoons, especially in central and northern regions, while caution is advised for prolonged rainfall, particularly affecting evenings. The Pacific high pressure is weakening slightly starting Monday, with increased rain forecasted in eastern regions and local heavy rain in central and northern areas. The weekend will see similar weather conditions, with rain intensifying by Monday and Tuesday, before returning to hot and sunny weather on Wednesday.
