According to a report by CTnews.com on June 10, 2024, at 7:15 PM, journalist Chen Li-wen mentioned that today (6/11), as the front moves closer, Taiwan is within the warm air mass before the front, with temperatures in the southern region reaching up to 36 degrees. The Central Weather Bureau warns of rainy weather, with meteorologist Wu Der-Rong urging caution against 'severe weather.' The warm, moist air brought by the southwestern winds on the south side of the front front may lead to scattered brief showers or thunderstorms in the southern region, while central and Miaoli may also experience localized brief showers or thunderstorms. Other areas will be mostly cloudy to clear before noon with localized brief thunderstorms in the afternoon, and the southern region and mountain areas in the afternoon are most likely to experience localized heavy rainfall. Wu highlighted temperature ranges across different regions and reminded about the need for sun protection and preventing heat stroke. Before rainfall, as the warm air mass circulates, the atmosphere is unstable and prone to localized heavy convective development, often accompanied by lightning, strong winds, and heavy rainfall, cautioning the public to remain vigilant.
