As reported by Chen Hongyi from the Life Center on July 3, 2024, at 7:25 PM on SET News, the heatwave continues to engulf Taiwan with temperatures exceeding 38 degrees in Chiayi, Tainan, and Kaohsiung-Pingtung regions. The meteorological Facebook page 'Taiwan Typhoon Forum | Weather Urgent' pointed out that the extreme heatwave will persist throughout Taiwan for the next 7 days, with no end in sight, only hoping for relief by the end of the month. The page explained that the Pacific high-pressure strengthens, bringing southeast winds, moving the extreme heat to the southern inland areas. Despite a slight weakening in mid-month, the high pressure is expected to strengthen again, prolonging the intense heatwave until the end of the month.
