High Temperatures Across Taiwan: Be Cautious of Heat and Strong Convection

Reported 7 months ago

Today, influenced by the southwestern wind, areas south of Miaoli in Taiwan may experience brief showers or thunderstorms intermittently. Due to the southwest wind descending, some areas in Greater Taipei may see temperatures exceeding 36 degrees Celsius. Meteorologists caution that it will be hot from morning to night, with temperatures ranging from 32 to 35 degrees Celsius in most areas and possibly reaching around 36 degrees in certain regions. Residents are advised to avoid unnecessary outdoor activities, labor, and exercise, protect against heat injuries, apply sunscreen, stay hydrated, and be cautious of heatwaves, particularly in areas where temperatures are 36 degrees Celsius or above. Nighttime temperatures are predicted to stay around 26 to 28 degrees Celsius.
