The Central Weather Bureau predicts temperatures in Taitung may soar to 38 degrees Celsius today due to the influence of the southwest wind, while Taipei's eastern side, Yilan, and mountainous areas across the island will experience thunderstorms in the afternoon. High temperatures reaching 32-34 degrees are expected in most areas, with some regions possibly exceeding 36 degrees. Taitung has already experienced scorching winds. The northern regions are under the influence of a frontal boundary, with intermittent rain in Matsu and Kinmen and fewer rainfalls in the south. Be prepared for sudden thunderstorms and hot weather, and make sure to carry an umbrella when heading out.
