Reported 12 months ago

According to the Central Weather Bureau, various regions across Taiwan, Penghu, Kinmen, and Matsu will experience partly cloudy to sunny weather on July 1st and 2nd, with the possibility of brief thunderstorms in the afternoon in northern and northeastern Taiwan, eastern areas, and mountainous regions. Experts warn of sporadic showers in the southwestern region today, with the potential for localized 'severe thunderstorms' in the afternoon. High temperatures and scorching conditions are expected in several areas, including Taoyuan County, Taichung City, and Tainan City among others, with temperatures possibly reaching up to 38 degrees. Residents are advised to take precautions against heatstroke and sunburn. Current temperatures range from 24 to 38 degrees in northern Taiwan and similar ranges in other regions. The weather forecast indicates the persistence of high temperatures throughout the week due to the weakened descending effect of the Pacific high pressure system.
