In an upgrade unveiled on July 2, 2024, at 4:10 pm, the ‘Highway 1968’ App now provides convenient access to charging information, addressing the ‘range anxiety’ of electric vehicle drivers. The app, with over 5.4 million downloads as of June, offers real-time data on charging station locations, availability of charging spots, operators, and rates at service areas. As traffic increases on highways, so does usage of the app, noting a correlation between traffic congestion and app usage. The updated version aims to improve user experience by displaying nearby service area or rest station details based on the user's location, aiding in reducing electric vehicle drivers' range anxiety.
