A hiker in China discovered that water flowing from the Yuntai Mountain Waterfall, known as the country's tallest uninterrupted waterfall, was actually coming from a pipe installed in the rock face, causing a social media uproar. Operators of the Yuntai tourism park explained that the pipe was a 'small enhancement' made during the dry season to ensure visitors had a worthwhile experience. The incident has sparked debate on social media about preserving the natural order of such landmarks, despite previous instances of artificial measures being taken to maintain famous waterfalls in China.
