A man from Kaohsiung fell to his death while descending Yushan Mountain, with rescuers conducting a nighttime operation to retrieve his body. The 47-year-old man, part of a group of 11 climbers, slipped and fell about 300-400 meters down a steep slope below the main peak of Yushan. Despite prompt rescue efforts, the man tragically passed away, and his body was airlifted down by a helicopter from the Aviation Special Police Squadron. The authorities emphasize the importance of mountain safety and urge hikers to remain vigilant during climbing activities.
