Stock markets in the US, Japan, and Taiwan have been hitting historical highs in 2024, prompting investors to consider the sustainability of these records. Schroder Investment Trust indicates that based on historical experiences, stock markets tend to perform well after reaching new highs. According to Schroder Global Disruptive Equity Fund Manager Lin Liangjun, historical data shows that bull markets in stocks typically last for at least six years with an increase of over 180%. The current bull cycle since March 2020, lasting about four years and increasing by 122%, still has the potential to continue its upward trend. Lin suggests that global stock markets have advantages across fundamental, valuation, and event aspects, supporting the continuous upward movement of stock prices. In such a scenario, focusing on high-growth potential industries like AI, medical innovation, robotics, clean technology, and sustainable food is recommended for investors with limited budgets.
