Reported about 1 year ago
During the DPP primary elections last year, a conflict known as the 'Wang-Ho Battle' erupted between Ho Chih-wei, then a DPP legislator and current vice-secretary general at the Presidential Office, and Wang Shi-jian, then a Taipei City Council member, over DPP's internal primary. Ho accused DPP legislator Chuang Jui-hsiung and Wang Shi-jian of publicly insulting him, calling him 'shameful', 'debauched', and spreading rumors causing Ho to not be well-liked in the Legislative Yuan. Despite the accusations, the prosecution did not indict Chuang and Wang, citing lack of evidence. Ho's claims were considered as appropriate criticism rather than intentional defamation.
