On June 23, 2024, at 10:54 am, the Legislative Yuan conducted a roll-call vote on the Executive Yuan's proposal for parliamentary reform. Legislative Yuan President Han Kuo-yu participated in the vote, which drew criticism from Green Party legislators. Taipei City Councilor Ho Han-ting of the New Party stated that if the Legislative Yuan President cannot vote but merely preside over the meetings, then isn't it equivalent to having one less legislator? Han Kuo-yu voted on the reconsideration case, which eventually resulted in opposition to the reconsideration. Ho Han-ting emphasized that the Legislative Yuan President, as part of the Legislature, must respond to or refute the actions of the Executive Yuan from the legislative perspective.
