A tragic incident occurred on June 11, 2024 at the Asahikawa Kamui Bridge in Hokkaido, Japan, where a 17-year-old high school girl went missing in April and was found dead in late May near the Ishikari River. Local police arrested two young women who, allegedly involved in a dispute on social media with the victim, cruelly pushed her off a 10-meter high suspension bridge into the river. Further investigations revealed that the suspects had engaged in confinement, intimidation, and possibly obscene acts toward the victim, leading to their arrest for murder charges. The motive and involvement of others are still under investigation.
