Holiday Traffic Congestion: Highways Department Reveals 18 Road Sections Prone to Jams During Peak Hours

Reported about 1 year ago

On the second day of the Dragon Boat Festival holiday, traffic congestion persists as the Highways Department predicts a 1.2-fold increase in highway traffic flow in 18 potential jam-prone sections. The northbound traffic on National Freeway 5 starts around 11 a.m. and continues past midnight. With traffic volume on some roads reaching up to 7 times the usual, the department recommends specific departure times for different directions to avoid congestion. Identified problematic routes include Southbound National Freeway 1 from Yangmei to Toufen, Northbound Route from Sairaya to Puyan, Southbound Route 3 from Tucheng to Guanxi, and more.
