Taipei-based construction company Hong-Jing (2527) announced on June 21, 2024, its plan to sign a contract to jointly build the 'K28' factory with NIKKO Holding's subsidiary NIKKO Semiconductor Manufacturing Company in Kaohsiung. The project, with an investment of NT$2.43 billion, is expected to be completed by the fourth quarter of 2026, aiming to boost Hong-Jing's construction revenue. This collaboration includes shared funding and property rights distribution, with NIKKO having a priority purchase option. Hong-Jing also has other development projects ongoing, including residential and commercial properties in various locations like Taoyuan and Hsinchu.
