Hong Kong activist and sociologist Chen Kin-man, one of the leaders of the Umbrella Movement, recently ended his three-year teaching career at the Department of Sociology at National Chengchi University in Taiwan. His final lecture was on the topic of whether China will collapse, emphasizing that this subject cannot be taught in Hong Kong or mainland China, highlighting Taiwan's freedom of speech. Chen Kin-man hopes Taiwanese students cherish their freedoms. He plans to continue his academic pursuits at the Academia Sinica focusing on Hong Kong studies.
