Joshua Wong, the founding chairman of Hong Kong's pro-democracy party, Demosistō, was listed in a 'wanted note' issued by the Hong Kong police, along with five other individuals who are now in exile in the UK, prohibiting external financial support to them. The Secretary for Justice, Rimsky Yuen Kwok-keung, stated that providing funds 'directly or indirectly' to them could potentially be illegal. The restrictions aim to prevent the misuse of financial resources for activities that endanger national security. Any form of financial support, whether direct or indirect, could be considered illegal. Apart from revoking their passports, others are prohibited from providing or handling funds for them, engaging in real estate transactions, or operating joint ventures with them.
