Due to the influence of southwest winds, various regions are experiencing hot weather in Taiwan. The Central Weather Bureau issued a high-temperature advisory for 16 counties and cities with Taiwan's Taitung County at an orange alert level and a chance of extreme high temperatures reaching 38 degrees Celsius. Other areas like Taipei City, Taoyuan City, Hsinchu County, Taichung City, Changhua County, Nantou County, Yunlin County, Tainan City, and Pingtung County are at orange alert level with a probability of consecutive days of 36 degrees Celsius. Some other areas are under a yellow alert. The weather is expected to be mostly cloudy to clear with sporadic brief showers in the morning, localized brief thunderstorms in the afternoon, and possibilities of heavy rain, prompting precautions against severe weather phenomena such as short-term heavy rain, thunder, and strong gusts of wind.
