In today's (2nd) weather forecast, most areas are sunny to partly cloudy with high temperatures ranging from 32 to 36 degrees Celsius, and a chance of localized 37-degree temperatures in central and southern regions. Former director of the Central Weather Bureau, Zheng Mingdian, explains that the surrounding sea temperature around Taiwan is 2 to 3 degrees higher than usual, reducing the sea breeze regulation efficiency and causing abnormally hot weather. UV levels today have reached 'excessive' in northern Taiwan and Hualien, and 'extremely high' in central and southern regions, prompting warnings to avoid the sun. Additionally, there are thunderstorm alerts for certain areas with potential heavy rainfall and thunderstorms.
