Today, due to the strengthening influence of the Pacific high pressure westward extension, the environmental wind direction has shifted to southeast to south, leading to a trend of gradually decreasing rainfall. The Central Weather Bureau has issued high temperature alerts for 7 cities and counties. Orange alerts were issued for Changhua County, Yunlin County, Tainan City, and Pingtung County, with a probability of reaching 36 degrees before noon. Yellow alerts were issued for Kaohsiung City, Hualien County, and Taitung County. In Greater Taipei, the forecasted 'feels-like' temperature is expected to reach 41 degrees today, prompting people to beware of sun exposure. Expert Lin De-en emphasized the high temperatures and advised people to take precautions, especially with UV radiation being strong around noon, and to stay hydrated. There may be brief showers or thunderstorms in mountainous areas in the afternoon. It is recommended to pay attention to weather changes when near water to avoid potential hazards from thunderstorms or heavy rain.
