According to Central Weather Bureau, this weekend is expected to be hot with a high chance of rain in areas south of Miaoli due to southwestern winds, making it feel muggy when not raining. Tomorrow will be the hottest day in Greater Taipei and Hualien, with temperatures likely to soar in southern and central regions as well. Taitung may experience scorching temperatures reaching 38 degrees Celsius, with warning of extreme heat. Showers are expected in the next two days, particularly in mountainous areas. Despite generally cloudy skies, there may be brief thunderstorms in the afternoon. Coastal areas in the north and offshore islands are warned of strong winds and rough seas, while inland regions may see temperatures above 35 degrees Celsius.
