Hot Summer Reduces Crowd at Markets; Vendors Invest in Renting 'Air-Conditioned Stalls'

Reported 8 months ago

As the summer heats up, the desire to go out and browse markets diminishes. Market vendors are struggling as people spend less time in the markets due to the heat, leading to poor business. Some vendors are willing to invest more in rental fees for 'air-conditioned stalls' in hopes of attracting customers to linger longer; especially vendors selling clothing and daily necessities. However, for vendors selling seafood and produce, they resort to using multiple large fans to combat the heat, with some lamenting the difficulty of doing business in the summer heat.
