As the weather heats up and becomes humid due to continuous heavy rain, many parents worry about their children succumbing to heatstroke when playing outside. Pediatrician Wu Hanming from Hexin Minquan Pediatric Clinic shared a Facebook post about a mother who took her 4-and-a-half-year-old son to the park, only for the child to quickly become lethargic and faint after leaving an air-conditioned room. Dr. Wu warns about the dangers of heatstroke and provides tips on moving the affected individual to a cool place, removing excess clothing, using damp towels, and employing physical means to lower body temperature. If symptoms persist, immediate medical attention is advised.
