Hot Weather in Greater Taipei as Southwest Wind Descends, Temperature Rises Above 36 Degrees Celsius

Reported 7 months ago

Today continues to be affected by southwest winds, with possible brief showers or thunderstorms in areas south of Miaoli, eastern mountainous regions, and outlying islands like Penghu, Kinmen, and Matsu, especially noticeable in the south and Matsu with a probability of heavy showers and even heavy rain. Other areas are generally partly cloudy with sunlight visible, but thunderstorms may develop in the afternoon in eastern Taipei, northeastern regions, and mountainous areas, with a chance of localized heavy rain. Temperatures will reach 32-34 degrees Celsius, going above 36 degrees in some places due to the descending effect of the southwest wind, causing humid conditions. The coming days will see a decrease in wind strength and more clear weather, though sporadic brief showers may continue in central and southern regions in the morning.
