As summer temperatures soar in Taiwan, the issue of 'heat leave' and 'heat allowance' gains attention again. A survey by a job search website reveals that 94.8% of workers believe the government should establish a heat leave system, with 48.9% of employers in agreement. Outdoor workers feel they should receive an average monthly heat allowance of at least 2338 yuan, while employers suggest a cap of 1598 yuan. The study also shows the negative effects of working in hot weather, with fatigue, irritability, and decreased efficiency being common challenges. Employers are urged to be mindful of heat-related risks and provide preventive measures for outdoor workers.
