The Meteorological Office issued a warning today at 17:56 of high temperatures (orange warning, temperature reaching 36 degrees Celsius or above for 3 consecutive days; or 38 degrees Celsius or above) affecting Chiayi, Yunlin, Tainan, and Pingtung on the 20th. Pingtung's Neipu recorded the highest temperature at 37 degrees, reminding people to avoid unnecessary outdoor activities, labor, and exercise, stay hydrated, and take precautions against heat injuries. Specifically advising care for the elderly, children, chronic patients, obese individuals, those taking medication, vulnerable groups, outdoor workers, and athletes to stay away from high-temperature environments.
