During the 35th Golden Melody Awards, MC HotDog was performing when his microphone suddenly went silent, even after a replacement. He paused the performance, stating it was a technical error and not his fault, then kneeled and asked for another chance. He resumed singing, impressing the audience despite the broadcast mishap. The TV station noted the issue and promised to investigate after the ceremony.
