In an incident reported on June 29, 2024, in Uray, Taichung, a two-story residential building caught fire on Wuguang Road. Firefighters discovered a charred body in a room on the first floor once the blaze was under control, with the cause of the fire still under investigation. The Taichung City Fire Department dispatched units to the scene upon receiving the report in the afternoon. The building structure consisted of brick on the first floor and galvanized iron siding on the second floor, with smoke billowing from the upper level. The fire was contained by 1:41 pm, and authorities found a deceased individual at the scene awaiting further investigation to determine the cause of the fire.
