In the aftermath of Tropical Storm Beryl, most of Houston faced power outages that could last for days, amidst rising temperatures. The storm caused flooding, downed trees, and power lines, resulting in three deaths. About 85% of homes and businesses served by CenterPoint Energy Inc. lost power, with concerns that parts of the electric network may require replacement. As high temperatures followed the storm, Houston officials issued a heat advisory, emphasizing the ongoing dangerous conditions in the city.
