A teenage girl nearly died from toxic shock syndrome after a flight scare, but was saved by several fortunate circumstances. She was diagnosed with menstrual toxic shock syndrome (mTSS) and shared her story to raise awareness. Despite facing challenges and skin complications post-recovery, she has become an advocate for educating others about mTSS, joined forces with a mother who lost her daughter to the same illness, and is working on legislation to increase awareness and training among healthcare workers.
