In Hsinchu, a habitual stealing couple broke into a chicken coop twice to steal chickens, initially claiming the wife was picking wild vegetables without the husband's knowledge. However, the judge found them both lying and sentenced each to 8 months and 7 months in prison. The couple, with a history of theft, resorted to illegal means in their pursuit of easy gains by stealing multiple chickens from the coop. The husband and wife's attempts to shift blame were discredited by the court, leading to their convictions for theft and destruction of security equipment. The husband received an 8-month sentence, while the wife received a 7-month sentence.
