Hsinchu Ship's Overseas Protection Mission with Female Crew Members Representing Female Strength

Chairperson Kuan Bi-ling of the Ocean Affairs Council visited the Hsinchu ship returning from its Pacific ocean protection mission, praising the nearly one-third female crew members for their outstanding performance in various roles onboard, alongside male colleagues. The mission marked not only the ship's long-distance fishery protection journey but also the best representation of female strength in coast guard operations. The crew traveled over 17,000 kilometers during their 35-day voyage, enforcing fishing regulations and demonstrating compassion and law enforcement. Kuan especially commended the female crew members for their diverse roles, contributing to the expansion of opportunities for women in the maritime profession.
