On June 20, 2024, Cher Wang shifted from VR to AI, emphasizing HTC's leading position in AI and spatial computing. The company launched the new HTC U24 Pro, the world's first smart phone supporting AI (Artificial Intelligence) and XR (Extended Reality). Using AI technology, the phone can capture perfect photos. Wang elaborated at the shareholders' meeting that this was based on HTC VIVE's full-face tracking AI computing system, enabling users to enter virtual worlds through the lens and showcasing HTC's leading status in AI and spatial computing. Wang further unveiled another key feature of the HTC U24 Pro, allowing users to immediately enter the virtual world through its camera, which integrates AI camera intelligence and XR applications. With the built-in VIVERSE APP, users can generate a personal AI virtual avatar synchronized with their movements for various applications such as socializing, entertainment, and learning.
