Chinese actor Hu Ge visited Taiwan for a youth dialogue event, where reports surfaced that he was forbidden to mention 'Shanghai' and 'The Flower Blooms' during the activity. Taiwan Affairs Office responded that the restriction was baseless and could not comment on it. Hu Ge, known for his role in the Chinese drama 'The Flower Blooms' set in 1990s Shanghai, attended the event in Taipei under a short-term professional exchange program, approved by relevant government agencies. The government supports orderly cross-strait exchanges and welcomes mainland Chinese actors to Taiwan for sharing film and television industry experiences.
