Hua Hong Semiconductor, China's second-largest chip foundry, has appointed former Intel executive Bai Peng as its new president. Bai, who has over 30 years of experience in semiconductor fabrication, takes over from Tang Junjun while the company faces challenges from a US trade investigation into China's semiconductor production. This management change coincides with the opening of a new plant in Wuxi and follows the appointment of Qin Jian as chairman of the parent company Hua Hong Group.
